My name is Matt Leap. Professionally, my interests revolve around digital marketing.  I’m very interested in Analytics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).  I guess you could call me a numbers guy.  I love the logic and measurability in this type of marketing.  It’ very rewarding to examine a website, see what’s working and what’s not, recommend some changes, and see exactly how much of an impact the changes had.  My dream job would be combining my interests and working in one of the emerging NFL analytics departments.

I was born and raised in Niskayuna, NY – a mid-sized town, located between Albany and Schenectady.  Since a young age, I have been a New York sports fan.  Currently, I’m Senior attending Champlain College, a small private college in snowy Burlington, VT.  At Champlain, I’m studying marketing with a minor in managing information systems (MIS) and looking forward to a rapidly approaching Spring 2014 graduation.

In addition to watching sports, my interests include fantasy, discussing sports-related topics, and playing sports.  I particularly enjoy playing pickup basketball and football.  Outside of sports, I’m interested in new and emerging technology.  It has always fascinated me how technology has a way of sneaking into so many aspects of life and changing how we do things.  Recently, I have started to focus on combining these interests and looking into the interplay between technology and sports.  It’s pretty amazing how much sports and technology have impacted and continue to impact each other.    Some of my other interests include video games, reading, writing, hiking, movies, and TV series.

Find me elsewhere on the Internet.
